Kuching Child Care Centre Closure Affects Parents Mental Health - PLEASE HELP US!
The Issue
WE AS PARENTS PLEAD FOR CHILD CARE TO BE OPEN IN KUCHING. THEY ARE ESSENTIAL SERVICES TO A LOT OF FAMILIES.
The closure of childcare is really stressful for a lot of parents.
Imagine that parents need to fulfill all these expectations and events below concurrently while our children run around us bugging us for attention.
Customers have expectations, they engage our services.
Bosses have expectations for us to complete our tasks.
Children have expectations for us to pay attention to them. They climb high and low.
Our parents also have expectations or need help from us.
Some have pay cut.
Some are on unpaid leave.
Some lost their jobs.
These are a lot of financial burdens to us.
How do you think all these affect the mental health of all parents?
Please look into parents' burden. Especially those with young children. We do not have a choice but require childcare. It is essential service to us to help us keep the family afloat and money to buy essentials so businesses can pull through.
Some send to temporary baby sitter.
Some bring to work.
What’s the cross contamination risk?
Some leave at home and monitor through CCTV.
Aren’t all these risk?
Please just implement strict SOP for childcare centre and conduct spot checks on them. Everyone need to do something to improve and be better rather than just shut down and avoid.
As a stressed out mother, I am begging the relevant ministers and ministry to look into this thing again. I often have anxieties and panic attacks because I cant cope with demands around me. I plead that relevant ministry look into this seriously again considering the mental health of parents. All these mental stress could easily lead to domestic violence, depression and worst - SUICIDE.
Please HELP us!
