What started as a mid afternoon rant has created quite a flutter & received support from all quarters of society. We have managed close to 16 thousand signatures and more are coming every minute.We need a lot more to be taken seriously. All who strongly believe in the cause have to get our representative hear about this . Please feel free to post their email addresses so the petition can be sent to them also .
Very often the silent majority of supporters are ignored and the ones shouting out the loudest get to form public discourse. In the case of payment of fees to school also a silent plurality quietly went about their task while the radical anarchists stole the microphone claiming to represent all in their quest of a free lunch( in this case non payment of fees)
The future of our children depends on a moderate equilibrium where the institutions of learning are not deprived of their fair share of resources allowing them to go about with their important task of educating children. The government should act as facilitator of the service and act to filling gaping holes in last mile connectivity.
Having said that the private schools also have a task upon themselves to provide all possible assistance to parents impacted by the crisis and struggling with the situation. I think the crisis has given enough pain to society and sharing of it by all stake holders will go a long way in healing .
