NBCC offering to step in for completion of all 74 pending projects of Unitech is appreciated. Our Honoured Supreme Court has also asked all home buyers to put their opinion briefly on the Amicus Curie(Unitech-advocate Shri Pawan Shri and I request and urge all home buyers to take out some time and give thri opinion-make it count when SC is requesting for the same.
However, several buyers have already resented NBCC demand for Rs 50 Crores(USD 7 Million) for due diligence-pl see clipping attached. They are justified as after all as tax payers who have been robbed and suffering for 10 years + the load will be borne by us. Advance payments stand of NBCC was not there in the recent land mark judgement on Amprapalli(another fraud builder). How will the funding be managed and why suffering home buyers who are now secured creditors as per new rulings are not a part of this committee? What are the time lines? Many Unitech pending projects have several apartment towers where even the license is cancelled due to non payment of statutory levies. How are they addressed? What about refund seekers? In these 10 years +, life positions of many buyers have changed including age n financial position in life and many just want to get back their money with penal interest/compensation for the value loss of money over these so many years. All these areas need to be clarified in the proposal.
