Rampant RERA dilution by State Govts even in states where BJP rules which is the Govt Executive in power in India point out otherwise. Maybe the noise generated over the years, all your support, hundreds of litigations in courts and communication from change.org or the world realising what's happening in India has stirred the Govt. The realty sector is in a mess due to the rampant cheating and in a tanking economy(Govt may make whatever claims), can Govt working towards development puts tens of thousands people's earnings at stake-the realty sector is a very large employer in India.
