Chicago Needs a Bike Grid

The Issue

Chicago has 4,500 miles of streets, but only 28 miles of protected (but unconnected) bike lanes. By designating 10% of the city's residential street grid to prioritize low-stress bike travel, we would have a network that allows more people to safely and comfortably get around by bike. It wouldn't be expensive and it wouldn't require removal of car parking. This is doable.
