Since 1955, the Chevrolet Corvette has always been offered with a manual transmission option.  Throughout the 7th generation Corvette (the C7), about 30% of buyers chose the excellent 7-speed manual transmission option.  Chevrolet has now introduced its revolutionary, mid-engine C8 Corvette Stingray, but has only offered one transmission so far - an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic.  Sports car purists everywhere cringed because we know that although a manual might give up a tenth of a second here or there to a DCT, nothing can replace the engagement and downright FUN of shifting for yourself, especially in a car like the Corvette.  Ignoring almost 1/3 of your customer base is also not a good way to treat your loyal fans.  So we, the undersigned, petition Chevrolet to put a proper 3-pedal manual transmission into ALL levels of the C8 Corvette as soon as possible, and please consider making it a gated-shifter!
