Thank you to all who have supported this petition. It is wonderful that so many people also want markets in Cheltenham to be fur free.

I know from comments I have had that people do find it confusing sometimes, they want to buy a fur item but only if it is faux fur but the labeling is not clear.

No one in Cheltenham needs to wear fur to survive; it is death and cruelty simply for vanity. I plan to hand in this petition at the next meeting of Cheltenham Borough Council.

Also when the licensing policy for markets is next reviewed I will submit a request that real fur is not allowed when licenses are granted, using the petition as a means to demonstrate wider support.

Please continue to share this petition and help get even more signatures on it.
