Cheerios: Remove "Trisodium Phosphate" from Cherrios (aka "TSP" or "E339")
Cheerios: Remove "Trisodium Phosphate" from Cherrios (aka "TSP" or "E339")
The Issue
Cherrios is a widely recognized and trusted name in the food industry. One of the cornerstones of their advertising is that they provide consumers with a healthy consumable product that result in benefits such as lowering cholesterol. However, what most people don't know is that Cherrios contains Trisodium Phosphate or TSP- an ingredient which is also used as a cleaning agent, stain remover and degreaser, not to mention the fact that it is extremely harmful to the environment.
How many mothers are unknowingly feeding their toddlers food that contains an ingredient used in cleaning detergents because they have been led to believe that they are providing their children and families with a safe, nutritious and healthy meal or snack? Trisodium Phosphate has no business being in Cherrios or any food for that matter. Cheerios is a trusted name and brand and if they truly cares about people's health and want to provide consumers with a healthy product as they claim, they should remove this ingredient from their product immediately. Calling on all mothers- please help to remove Trisodium Phosphate from Cheerios. Together, we can change this!
