To the over three thousand of you who have signed our petition and supported our cause thus far, thank you so much. Your support truly means the world to us, and for that, we are forever grateful. In fact, due to the overwhelming support, as well as the rapid pace at which our cause and petition are growing, I feel it necessary that everyone know Joel and I are no longer in a relationship. And though it was decided that our relationship no longer continue, let it not distract us from the true goal of this petition. We hope to fight for what's right. We hope to fight for equality. We want equal representation of all people, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, and with your continued support, we can achieve just that. Secondly, I would just like to reiterate the fact that the Chattahoochee High School administration, as well as its students and teachers, are extremely accepting people and are very open to the idea of changing the voting for Prom King and Queen to Prom Royalty for years to come. We are so blessed to have grown up in such a loving and caring community, and we hope that with this petition, other schools across the nation will begin to realize just how important equality and compassion is for people of all genders and sexual orientations Lastly, if you haven't yet, please sign the petition and share it with whoever you can.
