Chatbots for Customer Support waste customer's time and money

The Issue

Dear Friends,

Lately, many (almost all) businesses are providing chatbots as the first level of customer support. My latest interactions with Airtel, Ola, Uber, ICICI Bank chatbots have led me believe that the chatbots, while they can be profitable to a business, are ill-conceived and are deployed by businesses without handling all cases that their customers might face. They seem to be useful only to save businesses money by not hiring people for customer support. But such deployment of chatbots waste their customers' precious time and peace of mind.

All businesses ought to provide a flow of chatbot and must provide a way to chat or speak with a human.

The Consumer Forums and Consumer Courts should consider such deployments of chatbots as denial of service to customers.
