It’s been over a month since I last shared an update. The campaign has slowed a bit, and I’ve been trying to enjoy life after an intense period; running races, going to festivals, and just taking a breath. I needed that, because the last few months have been emotionally heavy, and I wanted to know I’ve enjoyed what might be my last moments in Australia.

But now, it’s time to step back into campaign mode. The truth is, there is no set timeline. When I get an email from the Department, it will either be:

My case passed onto the Minister for Immigration, or
A notice giving me 28 days to leave Australia.
I want to make sure I do everything I can, if this is my last chance.

I know some of you have been asking how you can help, it’s simple:

• Sign the petition - every signature counts.
• Share the petition with friends, family, community groups, every share helps - the petition is a numbers game.
• Write a short letter to the Minister and your local MP - this is political pressure and enough letters means advocacy on behalf of me, from Allegra, Tanya or whomever to Tony Burke. 

Please don’t worry about writing the “perfect” letter. The templates I’ve prepared already include the key political points. All you need to do is share how you know me, how long, and what you think of me as a person or character. That’s it, your voice matters more than perfection.
