CHARLES RIVER LABORATORIES, located in Massachusetts, uses dogs, monkeys, pigs, horses, etc. for biological experimentation. These animals are subjected to horrific experiments during their short lifetimes and if they are lucky enough to survive, they are then killed and replaced with new animals.

Beagle Freedom Project has been attempting to collaborate with Charles River to, at least, allow the dogs to be placed for adoption following 5 years (those dogs who survive are killed at 5 years of age) of torture in a lab. Charles River has refused, claiming that the dogs are not socialized or shown any type of affection in the facility and so would make poor pets. So instead they are euthanized.

Beagle Freedom Project has had incredible success rehabilitating dogs released from other research facilities who have never known human kindness, felt fresh air or grass under their feet.

The purpose of this petition is to reach out to Charles River Lab as well as Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts to stop these practices and allow these animals to live out the rest of their lives in peace.

The beagles would easily be accepted by rescue groups and the monkeys and large animals could be sent to sanctuaries.
