“Every one needs to take care of the world!!!!” —Muensilp Poolsawat CHANGE.ORG My Response: Although I appreciate his taking the time to acknowledge and respond to the petition, I was hoping to hear something about his willingness to address the issue. Yes "Every one needs to take care of the world!!!!? but I'm not sure what that really means. Koh Samui is getting buried in garbage and this is just a small thing that our leaders can do to start the process of reducing it. I thought I would start small with "charging for plastic bags". The biggest issue, as far as I'm concerned, is the broken and dormant incinerator (8 plus years now) which will be the next petition. For now, the only thing we can do is reduce the amount of waste. Deputy Mayor Muensilp Poolsawat, can you please elaborate on what you could do to move the island in a less wasteful direction. As well as make clear what you can do to prevent the inevitable pandemic that is approaching? Disease, pollution, not to mention a major hit to tourism when the island becomes an undesirable place to visit. Thank you.
