WEBINAR: Affordable Housing in Chapel Hill Q&A

The issues of climate change and housing affordability are closely linked, ESPECIALLY in Chapel Hill. High housing prices push many low/middle income people who work in Chapel Hill outside of town, forcing them to rely on cars to drive into town every day. 

Join the Chapel Hill Youth Council for our webinar on affordable housing in Chapel Hill on Monday, April 5th from 6-7pm. The event will cover the root causes of housing inaffordability in Chapel Hill, stretching all the way back to the Civil War, the current state of affordable housing in Chapel Hill, and next steps for our community. We will begin with a brief presentation followed by audience Q&A, with panelists Roberto Quercia, professor of Urban Planning at UNC; Michael Stegman, former HUD White House Advisor; Delores Bailey, Executive Director of emPOWERment inc; and Danita Mason-Hogans, Program Manager of Oral Histories at Duke University.
