CLIMATE IN CHAPEL HILL (ACTION REQUIRED!!)

Thank you so much for signing our petition! Your signature will be added to a letter to Town Council demanding stronger climate action in Chapel Hill!

FURTHER ACTION YOU SHOULD TAKE:

- REGISTER for and ATTEND the Town Council's meeting on Chapel Hill's Climate Action Plan on Wednesday, January 27th at 7pm to show Town Council that teens are SERIOUS about this issue. (link to register: https://www.chyc.fyi/meeting ) 

- If you are passionate about climate change, SPEAK at the Town Council's 1/27 meeting and urge them to take strong action on climate change. Each person is given a maximum of 3 minutes to make their verbal comments. Indicate that you are interested in speaking by checking the box on the Zoom registration form linked above (you can edit the form even after registering). When it's time for you to speak, the Town Clerk will unmute you. Public speakers are HUGELY impactful at these meetings. If you have any questions about public speaking, email kaicnilsen@gmail.com . We will send out more info about public speaking as we get closer to the date.

- SPREAD the petition link - the more signatures, the bigger our impact. Send to friends or large group chats or ask teachers or other people with a platform to spread the petition - please copy and paste the contents of this document when you share the petition link.
