I remember the thrill when I first heard about the India Genius Challenge – a platform celebrating exceptional talent from across the nation. It was an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, sharpen our skills, and showcase our abilities. However, the excitement quickly dimmed when I discovered that the venue for this prestigious event was to be held at Hindu College, instead of at an Institute of Technology (IIT), which would be more befitting of the challenge's scope and caliber.

The India Genius Challenge is a national event aimed at recognizing and nurturing young, promising minds in various fields of technology, science, and innovation. It stands to reason that the venue itself should reflect the cutting-edge spirit and prestige of the event. IITs are recognized not only nationally but globally, as premier institutions of learning, research, and innovation. The infrastructure, resources, and academic environment available at an IIT would provide an unparalleled backdrop for participants to truly excel.

Hindu College, although a respected institution, does not offer the same advanced technological facilities or global reputation that participants deserve. The nature of the competitions that involve advanced technical demonstrations, presentations, and workshops demands a venue equipped with state-of-the-art technology and adequate resources. Additionally, relocating to an IIT would provide participants with the opportunity to experience an environment that has cultivated some of India's finest technocrats and innovators.

Moreover, hosting the event at an IIT would attract greater national and international attention, benefitting the participants with broader recognition and networking opportunities. Such a move would align with the aspirations of the participants to compete at a level that matches their caliber and aspirations.

The emotional and psychological impact on the contestants anticipating a world-class facility cannot be underestimated. This opportunity to visit and compete at an IIT could serve as inspiration, perhaps paving the way for their future educational and professional endeavors. The prestige of the venue should match the prestige of the challenge.

I urge the organizing committee of the India Genius Challenge to reconsider the venue and make a decision that would benefit both the participants and uphold the reputation of the competition. A move to host the event at an IIT would ensure that the experience is as enriching and inspiring as it is meant to be.

Please join me in asking the organizers to reconsider their choice and move the India Genius Challenge to an IIT. Sign this petition today to help provide participants with the venue they rightfully deserve.
