Change "Uranus" to "Urcolon" to Raise Awareness for Colon Cancer

The Issue

What's in a name? We'll if you're the planet Uranus, lots and lots of jokes.  It doesn't help that it's a gas planet.

But now is the time for change. Colon Cancer is on an alarmingly fast increase in those under age 45, the typical recommended screening age. It is one of the top 3 most commonly diagnosed cancers globally.

Uranus can help create positive and long lasting change for all of us, now and in the future, with a simple name change.

We would like to formally change the name of the planet Uranus to "Urcolon" to let people know that colon cancer can be prevented with screenings.

At 34 I was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer that had metastasized to my liver. I was so young I at no time thought it was cancer.  I ignored a very long list of symptoms including stomach pain, changes in bowel habit and stool, and unexplained nausea, fatigue, and headaches.

After my diagnosis I found out about the explosive growth of colorectal cancer cases for people my age.  It is a silent epidemic.

However, colon cancer is special in a sense that it can be caught in a pre-cancerous state and eliminated.  Pre-cancerous polyps can be removed during a colonoscopy

My brother, who is two years younger than me, got screened after I was diagnosed.  Several pre-cancerous polyps were found and removed, which allows him to live a normal and cancer free life.

Let's put our health first and from this day forth allow Urcolon to remind everyone on Earth that their health is a priority and colon cancer can be treated when caught early.
