Hi everyone, Just a quick update today. So I decided to write to the head of the CPS to try and find out why they dropped my case and found out from the lawyer who reviewed it that the decision to drop the case wasn't that of the CPS (as I was told by the police officer dealing with my case) but was actually Essex police who decided not to pursue it. I went to a solicitor to discuss my options about the case being dropped and discussed everything I had found out about doli incapax but was told to just "make a nuisance of myself" to the police. I've written to Buzzfeed, ITV, the Secretary of State for Justice and several charities but unfortunately none of them are able to promote this petition so it's all on us to do this. I hope you all know that I appreciate and read all the beautiful and touching comments people leave and am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart for all the support everyone has already shown me.
