I believe the state bird of New York should be changed to be that of a pigeon. I hope you follow my beliefs as well.

The first reason I believe the state bird of New York should be changed to a pigeon is because of the fact that when you see an eastern bluebird you don’t think of New York, or even upstate for that matter. Now think of this, picture you’re in New York, either being a tourist or just walking in Manhattan, when you see a pigeon you think, “Yeah, I’m in New York, the great big apple” you don’t think that if you see a bluebird. Pigeons give pride to the state.

My second reason for wanting to change the state bird is because of the fact that you don’t see many bluebirds in New York, like ever, but all you need is a glance at anywhere in NYC or even out of the city and you’ll see pigeons galore. They represent the state as a whole. That is why I believe the state bird of New York should be changed to that of a pigeon and not the Eastern bluebird.
