Thanks to supporters like you, this petition has been viewed by over 8000 people with over 1100 signatures! That means around 13% of people who read it, sign it. Why don't the other 87% sign? Who knows but the point is that all who read it become aware of the need for regular and early colorectal cancer screening and THAT is the point, That is why I'm sharing my story publicly.

It can happen to you. Don't let it. Until the Manitoba government reduces the self referral screening age from 50 to 40, it's up to you and your doctor to ensure you get screened 

It's true... Colonoscopies are embarrassing and uncomfortable. The bowel cleanse prep is horrible. No one wants to talk to strangers about their bowel movements, stool consistency or hemmerhoids. Screening sucks. 

Know what's worse? Finding out you need 5.5 weeks of daily pelvic radiation with continuous chemo. Discussing skin care treatments in case of rectal radiation burns. Learning you may have consistent diarrhea accidents. Living with the knowledge that even after chemo and radiation, bowel resection surgery is likely and a permanent colostomy bag probable.

Much worse. 

Sign and share this petition so more people see it and understand the importance of early screening. Polyps can be snipped out during a single uncomfortable colonoscopy. Cancer can't.
