22 minutes ago: Good News- The culprits have reached chennai. They will be in police custody by 12 pm today. Time to rejoice :) 1 hour ago: We haved named her Bhadra. #bhadrathewarrior 2 hours ago: The Dog will be taken to the Vepery Medical College today by 11 Am for Treatment. Our team will be going live on NDTV at 9 am (IST) with the dog. 9 hours ago: We assumed the dog was dead cause we couldnt find her. We couldnt speak to anyone around. The Insepector and his team visited the spot for an enquiry with the neighbours and they confirmed that this was the same dog. We were called upon to come and check on the dog and take her for treatment. We confirmed she was the same dog cause the video looked like she was a female dog, there is a small black patch on her tail, her hind legs are injured and she wasnt able to move properly. When I lifted her, she was shivering and peed all over cause she was scared and the give away was she was extremely timid and she was wagging her tail throughout. However, we will know for sure only when the police interrogates the students. We wanted to clarify to people who had doubts whether it was the same dog. 5th July: The dog has been found alive. She is not able to walk properly. She is with us now. Will be under treatment. What breaks my heart is that she was still wagging her tail. 5th July: FIR has been filed against them.. (read previous update) PCA 1960, IPC 428 and 429 are the acts they have been booked under. 5th July: Our team is very confident that our Chennai City Police would arrest these culprits today. A huge thanks to Chennai Memes they have been extremely useful by giving us valuable Information and leads in this case. 5th July: We have located the scene of crime. Gautam Sudharshan and Ashish Pal are on the run. Just a matter of time before the Police Nab them. We are pretty sure they would be caught tomorrow. T 13 Kundrathur police station has been extremely cooperative and swift with the investigation. We are just getting back home now, will continue the search tomorrow. 4th July: We have verified information from a reliable source that the 2 suspects are from Madha Medical college, Kundrathur. The names are Gautam Sudharshan and Ashish Pal doing there finally year MBBS. Apparently the incident took place 2 weeks before and the dog is no more. Chennai police have been 100 percent supportive and we are in the process to get them arrested.
