Change the behavior of management at the Kennedy Center

The Issue

Dear Family
We, the undersigned, express our deep concern and disappointment regarding the mistreatment experienced during the Kwanzaa event held on the night of December 29.The administrators in charge failed to uphold the spirit of unity and community that such an event symbolizes.
The host family, elders, and supporters, who are the pillars of Harlem's community, were unjustly turned away. Furthermore, guests and members from organizations like Circle of Brothers, Family United for Solutions, and Brothers in Recovery were subjected to poor treatment despite their longstanding commitment to organizing this annual event.
This incident not only tarnishes the reputation of the event but also undermines the sense of togetherness that Kwanzaa represents. We believe in fostering a community that values respect, inclusivity, and the celebration of cultural traditions.
We, the undersigned, call for a thorough investigation into the mistreatment during the December 29. Kwanzaa event and demand accountability from the administrators responsible. We urge all those who agree with this cause to sign this petition and stand in solidarity with the community's call for justice.
Sincerely,
