Hello everyone,
I am so happy to say that as of last week, we've reached our ambitious goal of 1,000 signatures to add Sonic Fiber as a competitive ISP across San Francisco. This goal was to make sure that our meeting to the mayor shows an undeniable want that we'd like to have access to competitive ISPs other than the current monopoly.
I have an upcoming meeting with Bill Greenlaw, the Government Affairs Director at Sonic Fiber in the upcoming weeks, to discuss next steps to moving the conversation to the mayor of San Francisco. At this time, Bill is also speaking with SFMTA to discuss how they can best work together to make it easier for Sonic to install fiber throughout the city.
Until then, please continue to post flyers around your neighborhood (there's a downloadable flyer option on the petitions page). Please make sure it includes the petition's name, and either a link to the petition or a QR for direct access.
I am so grateful and appreciative of the approximately $600 you've donated via promotions to help spread the word. A significant amount of signatures have been due to these generous donations. Please continue to share, post and donate if you can. The more signatures we have, the stronger our want for a competitive ISP is harder to ignore.
So, can we get to 1,500 signatures over the next couple of weeks? I think we can!
