Hi everyone,

🔥 Fantastic news. I have been in direct communication with the office of our D7 Supervisor, Myrna Melgar. Her aide has been incredibly helpful and transparent, providing us with a specific list of the City Hall roadblocks that are preventing Sonic's expansion.

The main hurdles are:

  1. Pole Access: Getting to poles in our backyards.
  2. Permitting: Slow and complex city permits.
  3. Construction Standards: Outdated rules for modern installation.
  4. Coordination: Lack of teamwork and specific processes on city projects.

This is a huge step forward. We've moved past just "asking" and are now discussing how to solve the real problems. We need to show them they have our full support to take on these challenges.

💪 NEW ACTION: Let's support the office that is helping us.

Please send a brief, polite email to Michael Farrah (michael.farrah@sfgov.org) and Supervisor Melgar's staff (melgarstaff@sfgov.org). Thank them for their engagement and tell them you support their efforts to fix these rules to bring better internet to D7.

This shows them we are an organized, appreciative, and powerful group who will have their back when they push for these changes.
