Valorant is a well-known tactical first-person shooter, where millions of players engage in competitive play. Competitive play has become a staple in the name of Valorant, where gamers exercise their skills through climbing ranks. However, for the last few months, many, including myself, have begun noticing the rise in harassment, rank manipulation and sabotage, whether it be through boosting, smurfing or teammates purposely throwing games. 

Riot Games themselves have made many statements regarding the banning of accounts that engage in this behaviour. Riot specifically made all players agree to a pledge at the start of 2026, but everyone knows that this won't fix the issues that players face. They make these claims that "They're punishing those who breach their terms and conditions", yet it still exists. I completely understand that it is a large player base, but I've witnessed countless amounts of players complaining about these issues without any fix. 

In the past 4 ranked games I've played, I have had players who are purposely deranking to pursue an 'Iron Gun buddy', which doesn't justify ruining someone else's experience. I'm sure others have faced the same or similar issues.
