Change Paternity Fraud from a Civil Act to a Criminal Offence

Change Paternity Fraud from a Civil Act to a Criminal Offence
The Issue
My husband brought up twins that he later found weren't his, but has been subjected to constant mental and emotional abuse on purpose by their mother. This betrayal has caused immense suffering and financial strain. Currently, paternity fraud is treated as a civil matter in the UK, which means victims often struggle to get justice.
Paternity fraud can have devastating effects on families, leading to emotional trauma and financial hardship. It is time for the law to recognize the severity of this issue by making paternity fraud a criminal offense. This change would provide stronger legal recourse for victims and act as a deterrent against such deceitful actions.
The devastation of paternity fraud is monumental. It causes children to lack self confidence, self esteem, self awareness and will inevitably cause issues in any future relationships with any adult or authoritarian due to having a lack of trust. To other children involved it causes them to feel pushed out. It devastates the man, completely shatters their self esteem, their ability to cope each day due to depression. The list is endless
Quoted from Wikipedia-
"Research published in 2016 indicated that up to two percent of British fathers unknowingly raise a child who is the biological child of another man. A 2005 scientific review of international published studies of paternal discrepancy found a range in incidence, around the world, from 0.8% to 30% (median 3.7%)." So it's been nearly a decade since anyone researched paternity fraud in the uk. In the 8 years that have passed there could be 100s if not 1000s of father's and children being subjected to the same devastation, which changes their lives considerably.
Dads are also unable to get their children any proper support through professionals for their children's mental health because they hold no parental responsibility
