Why stick with a generic mascot, like the Longhorns, when we have an incredible one right in front of us? We would change Parkway West Middle's Mascot to the Goslings to match.

Canada Geese were nearly driven to extinction during the early 1920s, by extreme hunting. Some subspecies were believed to be extinct. But they came back, and they came back better than ever before. This shows perseverance, a core attribute of Parkway West's PRICE values. If another animal represents West better, I don't know what it would be.

By changing our mascot to the Canada geese, we celebrate not just school spirit, but the kind that hisses at danger, defends its territory, and never backs down (even from lawnmowers).
