Imagine your friend drinks a dangerous amount of alcohol and is taken by ambulance to the hospital. You get a call and rush over to check on them.

Does the Doctor tell you that your friend has "body change" ?

No.

That answer would be vague and uninformative.

They tell you that your friend has "Blood Alcohol Poisoning"

This provides the NAME and LOCATION of the poison and acknowledges that the level of the poison can be dangerous and even deadly. 

Leaders are acquiescing to a vague and benign term which they understand but the public does not. 

Scientists ALL agree that what THEY mean by "climate change" is ...

"The consequences arising from increasing levels of specific gas emissions (primarily CO2 and CH4) into the atmosphere". 

An Earth Doctor would use the term "Atmospheric Carbon Poisoning".  

Atmosphere is the LOCATION of the poison.

Carbon Based Gases (CO2 and Methane) is the NAME of the primary poison. 

Poisoning is an Unequivocal Declaration of Dangerous Toxicity.

Thus far, there are no scientists willing to disagree that the proposed term is not more relevant descriptive. They are simply afraid to take a stand. 

If the following ~ 20 people would embrace the shift, the world would likely follow suit.
