When I was a freshman at Alisal High School, I remember always being scared to cross the road by myself. Not only because I was by myself but also because the light never worked. Many other students around me would rush out of the halls to walk in groups to the other side of the crosswalk as a way to avoid getting hit by oncoming traffic. There was no signal for when the students would be able to cross, so, at times, the students would play a guessing game on when it was safe enough to cross the road. Please sign this petition, as it is time we finally resolve this issue and create a safer place for students.
