CA Covid Sick Pay Extended!
Hi Friends!
Our CA Covid Sick Leave (or Supplemental Paid Sick Leave) was extended until the end of the year! It is the perfect time to keep fighting for our full wages when we are sick with COVID.
I am asking for support on a campaign to calculate nurses wages more fairly when we claim Covid Pay Benefits. There is a discrepancy in the legislation for Supplemental Paid Sick Leave that significantly cuts our wages due to our long shifts.
The language surrounding legislation needs to be updated to acknowledge nurses, frontline workers, and anyone working varying schedules that may be affected. With our increased exposure to Covid in the workplace, we should expect to be protected when we get sick.
