All in all it has been a very busy week. As mentioned in my last update, I met Rishi Sunak MP who is leading the Changing Places review, and who has already spoken about the need to make Changing Places toilets mandatory in public buildings.
I have since then, had a meeting at the Department of Health to discuss ways in which to increase the number of Changing Places toilet facilities in the NHS. I have provided them with evidence as to why this is so desperately needed, and ideas on how the number of facilities can be increased. This is still very much a work in progress.
Then on Tuesday night, I was back in Parliament again, with fellow campaigners Vaila Morrison, Alison Beevers, Zack & Krissy Kerr and Ceri Davies. We were invited to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Disability to hear Rishi Sunak and others, speak about Changing Places toilet facilities, and for us to ask questions and provide feedback. A promising meeting.
