A Changing Places Campaigning Update. Basically today I got an email from the Department of Health saying that they cannot force hospitals to include Changing Places facilities for their visitors and outpatients. This despite me outlining the hazards to health that not having such facilities brings. Basically I was told I need to contact each hospital trust individually, as well as NHS England, luckily myself and Sarah Brisdion have contacted about 90% of acute hospital trusts already, since the beginning of January, and we are already seeing some positive results. 5 hospitals say that they have Changing Places facilities that have not been registered and are therefore not searchable on the new Toilet Map. 3 hospitals are seriously considering installation in the near future.
