An unfathomable amount of BC residents are falling further and further away from being able to own their own property. The higher, sky rocketing, costs of living just arent matching our current wages and making real estate goals unattainable.

Forced to rent, in an overwhelming short supply of rental units, tenants are at the mercy of tight restrictions of their prospective landlords. NO PETS has thousands of animals over filling already stressed and full animal control and humane society outfits. Families are being forced to choose between homelessness and essentially killing one of their family members. Hundreds of thousand of dollars are spent monthly on the euthanization of surrendered family pets!

• The RTB needs to be changed to include a zero discrimination clause for pets; similar to the one it already has with our children, landlords are not allowed to state NO KiDS as a term as rental prerequisite. With no more wiggle room to our governments resources surrounding animals and our communities own volunteer groups being stressed to their full abilities, the additional stressors to a growing community of mental illness --> This could all be allieviated with your help. Discrimination against kids in the RTB is illegal, so should it be for family pets. So many animals could be saved, families not sent into depressive states and real solution and relief put in the place of  unnecessary stress and devastation. 

A new balance NEEDS TO BE FOUND and a new resolution is what we need to demand! Together !!❤️
