Thank you all for signing the petition in support of a livable wage for University of Arkansas graduate TAs. We have not yet received a response from the Chancellor’s office to the letter we sent Wednesday morning, but the graduate school did send out an announcement to university faculty today that the minimum wage for graduate students will remain the same for the 2020/2021 academic year. That means some graduate students will make as little as $9,387 minus over $1,000 in university fees, minus taxes, minus healthcare costs. This is unacceptable.

The petition has just over 1,000 signatures now. Can you help us get to 2,000 this weekend? If everyone who signed shares the petition with one person, we can easily double our support.
