Citizens of Kansas City and citizens from surrounding communities.  It is no secret that the Jackson County prosecutor's office has taken a hardline stance against the police department & police officers.  Jean Peters Baker has supported criminals and their family while publicly blasting the department whenever she can, using her official office. 

On 2/15/23 Officer James Muhlbauer was killed by Jerron Allen Lightfoot.  Jerron likely under the influence of a narcotic was travelling near 3x the speed limit on a city street.  When Jerron intentionally ran a red light at near 90 mph, he struck Officer Muhlbauer's vehicle, killing him, his police K9 (Champ) and an innocent bystander Jesse Eckes.  It was made abundantly clear at Officer Muhlbauer's funeral that there is no confidence in the Jackson County Prosecutors office. 

The victim's family and a majority of the police department and supporters have little to no confidence in the Jackson County Prosecutors office, led by Jean Peters Baker and her anti-police and anti-safety mentality, to fairly prosecute this case.   Officer Muhlbauer's spouse has officially asked the Missouri AG to remove the Jackson County prosecutor's office and bring in a special prosecutor or change the venue to another County within Kansas City outside of Jackson County to ensure justice is fairly served for Officer Muhlbauer, Officer Champ and Jesse Eckes.  We are asking you all for support on removal of the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office by signing this petition.
