Champion loving Parent-Child Relationships

The Issue

CALLING ALL PARENTS TO ACTION - Now is the time to make your voice heard!  Let your voice be heard to proclaim all loving Parent-child relationships must be protected in family courts as required by the 1st and 14th Amendments and under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The time to toss your hands up at the status quo was the last millennium before the internet provided a conduit for all to speak. Now is the time to act and acting to support this petition drive is important to every human. I am not exaggerating.

If you listen to what is being said in social media posts marked #co-parenting, #parental alienation, #fixfamilycourts, #end judicial immunity in family court, and countless other similar hashtags you will hear heartbreaking stories of families being emotionally decimated and financially broke. Today when a couple with children seeks to end their marriage they must go through the no-fault divorce process. Over the last 20 to 30 years around the world and especially in the United States the bureaucracy that grants these divorces has lost sight of the fundamental laws of society.

One would think society figured out a long time ago that the state and society at large have no business interfering in the relationship of a parent and child unless one of them was going to hurt the other. One who thought that would be correct too. This fact was expressed in one global voice in 1948 in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as an implied right in the U.S. Constitution which the US Supreme Court has held is protected by the 1st and 14th Amendments on multiple occasions.

Despite the unquestionable sanctity of the right to maintain a loving parent-child relationship, this right is being denied to parents who divorce with such frequency that It is time to stand together to champion loving parent-child relationships because failing to do so is the same as supporting attacks on the natural and fundamental group unit of society, the family.

Divorce is never planned and it is always hard on families. Some parents under legitimate stress forget it is only the marriage that is ending not the family. These parents fall into subconscious self-protection patterns developed in their own childhood and are inclined to treat their ex-spouse as a dangerous enemy rather than a future co-parent.

Now if the judges, attorneys, and forensic psychologists did their job these families would survive the end of the marriage. Instead, countless families are being destroyed. The professionals in family courts are failing to meet their obligations as professionals. Forensic psychologists are ignoring their duty to do no harm.  Judges and attorneys are failing to meet their duty to protect and defend the US Constitution. Together they are enabling and encouraging unending court battles that have no purpose because all loving parents are entitled to equal time with their children.

Encouraging drawn-out litigation that ends with the judge substituting their judgment for other parents' judgment perpetuates a cycle of trauma. When a parent who had their attachment bonds damaged while a child finds themselves as an adult struggling in divorce they deserve support. They do not get the support they need. Instead, they get support for their delusion that their child's other parent is an enemy. The end result is that their trauma is passed on to the next generation.

This pattern of events is transpiring in countless divorces today. However, this pattern is so much more than one family's problem because the traumatized child of your neighbor who just divorced is the potential mate of your child.

Champion parent-child relationships by demanding human rights be protected in every family court.
