Challenge the TikTok Ban for Infringement on our Constitutional Rights

Challenge the TikTok Ban for Infringement on our Constitutional Rights
The Issue
Our plea originates in a personal connection to the recent TikTok ban, which we consider to be an assault on our constitutional rights. We stand with Shou Zi Chew, an individual who dared to dream and went on to create a platform that has become an integral part of our lives. We believe in his noble dream and we see the ban as a targeted effort to colonize his platform, in much the same way lands were unjustifiably seized in the past.
First and foremost, the ban on TikTok silences our Freedom of Speech. In our contemporary society, digital platforms like TikTok enable us to express ourselves, unfiltered and uncensored. To muzzle TikTok is to muzzle us.
Secondly, we consider ourselves as journalists, utilizing social media to communicate the issues that matter most to us. Under the Freedom of the Press, we have the same authority to report life events as any official media outlet does. By disallowing TikTok, you are stripping away our journalistic liberty.
Lastly, our personal social media accounts, including those on TikTok, are our property. We have the right to use our property as we see fit, a basic tenet of Life, Liberty, Property rights.
We need to unite and stand against this infringement on our liberty, in favor of preserving the "American Dream". We are not China, we are TikTok and we are Shou. Help us uphold our rights and resist colonization of our digital platforms. Show your support by signing this petition. #WeAreTikTok #WeAreShou
