Future Motion, creator of Onewheel personal electric vehicle maintains an antagonistic relationship with the Right to Repair movement and their customers. 

Their recent legal action against JW Batteries, a small accessory business shows they have no intent to loosen their policies.

Since Future Motion is intent on shutting down creatives and engineers interested in promoting and extending the use of their Onewheel product, we the community are responding by boycotting the purchase of new products or repair service from Future Motion.

By signing this petition, I promise to cease purchasing products directly from Future Motion or otherwise enriching their business model. Instead I will serve the community and environment by buying used, and upgrading and modding my devices as I see fit, and share information about FFM, the "Free" Future Motion movement.

Future Motion claims that their restrictive policies are for safety, but the secrecy around the product makes it more dangerous for third party repairs to be done, and more environmental waste is created.

If Future Motion Inc is willing to meet at least 2 of these demands, the boycott will be ended.

- Make a public statement about Right to Repair and their intent to stop suing members of the Onewheel community
- Remove BMS/ESC pairings that prevent individual parts from being replaced
- Stop using illegal "Warranty Void if Removed" stickers
- End the Onewheel apps prohibition against iPhones with legal jailbreak modifications, and use of Error 23 checks
- Change Warranty to allow for treaded tire installations or battery mods
