Across the Globe, national festivals are celebrated with fervour n enthusiasm.
Deepwali is the mother of all Indian national or other religious regional festivals which is celebrated by all with full enthusiasm and even work as a fuel to Indian economy followed immediately by Vishwakarma n Bhaiya Dooj festival which is another festival celebrated by masses in India.
These festivals are celebrated in families get togethers n results in increased social bonding. These require time for celebration which is reduced due to working days by employees in various govt organizations lead to opening of other non govt organizations.
It leaves individuals n family members lesser time to celebrate these festivities in stressed time. In northern region particularly in Delhi, the capital of India, no cluster of scheduled holidays is available while everywhere across in world such are permissible holidays are provided by government.
Hence it is high time that Indian government should start declaring a week's holiday on the occasion of Deepwali.
