As a fellow Eritrean, it breaks my heart to see the plight of my countrymen and women living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Over the years, thousands of Eritreans have migrated to Ethiopia in search of safety። However, they face severe and unjust treatment from the Ethiopian government, including arbitrary arrest and excessively high fees for 'Exit Permits.'

This situation has now reached a critical point. Many Eritreans are unable to afford the 'Exit Permit' fee—which can amount up to an exorbitant $4,200. This means many are confined within Ethiopia, unable to seek newer pastures.

In addition to this financial burden, intimidation and arrests have become part of their daily life. This is a blatant violation of their human rights and an attack on their dignity and independence.

Our fight is for justice for the Eritreans in Addis Ababa and for an end to their exploitation by the Ethiopian government. We must press the Ethiopian authorities to abolish these exorbitant exit permit fees, and stop the injustices perpetrated against our brothers and sisters. Their rights to freedom, movement and security should be upheld.

ዝሓለፋ ሓያሎ ዓመታት፡ ኤርትራውያን ድሕነትን ውሕስነትስ ክንረኽበለን ናብ ዝበልወን፡ ናብ ኣብ ዝተፈላለያ ሃገራት ዝርከባ ከተማታት ክግዕዙ ጸኒሖምን ኣለውን። ሓንቲ ካብዘን ከተማታት ድማ፡ ኣዲስ-ኣበባ, ኢትዮጵያ እያ። ን ብርክት ዝበለ እዋን ኣብዛ ከተማ እዚኣ፡ ብ ተዛማዲ ሰላም ክነብሩ እካ እንተጸንሑ፡ ኣብዘን ዝሓለፋ 2 ዓመታት ግና፡ ኩልና ከም ንፈልጦ፣ ኩነታቶም ካብ ግዜ ናብ ግዜ እናኸፍአን፡ ዘይፍትሓዊ ኣተሓሕዛ ኣብ ልዕሊኦም እንበረኸ ክኸይድ፡ ኣብቲ ብብዝሒ ንሳቶም ዝነብሩሉ ኣከባቢ ብዕላማ ካብ ጎደና ክግፈፉን ከምኡ'ውን ናብ ዝኾነ ካልእ ሃገር ክኸዱ ኣብ ዝሕትሉ እዋን፡ መጠኑ ዝሓለፈ ዕቐን ገንዘብ ይሕተቱ ከም ዘለውን ኽንዕዘብ ጸኒሕና ኣለና፡ እዚ ድማ ክትሰምዖ ዘሰምብድን፡ ልብኻ ዝሰብርን ካብ ምኻን ሓሊፉ፡ ነቲ ኣብ መንጎ እዚ ክልተ ህዝብታት ዘሎ ምክብባር'ውን ብ ኣሉታ ዝጸሉ እዩ።
ኣብዚ እዋን እዚ ግና፥ እዚ ማእሰርትን ምዝመዛን ኤርትራውያን ካብ ዝኾነ እዋን ንላዕሊ፡ ብ ዓይነትን ብዝሒን በሪኹ ጥራይ ዘይኮነ፡ ክሳብ ሕጂ በጺሕናዮ ከም ዘሎና ክሳብ $4200 ን ናይ መውጺ ፍቓድ (EXIT PERMIT) ዝተሓተቱ ዘለው ዜጋታትና ከም ዘለውን፡ ነዚ ክኸፍሉ ዘይከኣሉ ድማ ኣማራጺ ስኢኖም፡ ኣብ ቤቶም ኮይኖም ፍታሕ ይጽበዩ ኣለው።
ብተወሳኺ ኣብ ልዕሊ እዚ ምዝመዛ፥ ግፋን ማእሰርትን ካብ ጎደናታት፡ ማዓልታዊ ዝምኮርዎ ዘለው ኣካል ሂወቶም ኮይኑ ኣሎ (እዚ ነቶም ካብ ወጻኢ፡ ብ ሕጋዊ ቪዛ፡ ስድራ ንምርኣይ ወይ'ውን ብ ኻልእ ተወሳኺ ምኽንያት ናብ ኣዲስ-ኣበባ ዝመጹ ኤርትራውያን ውን ግዳያት ገይርዎም ኣሎ)። በዚ መሰረት፡ ሰብ-መዚ ኢትዮጵያ ነዚ ዘሕፍር ተግባር ደው ከብልዎ ኩልና ኢደይ ኢድካ እናበልና ብ ፌርማና እናጸዋዕና፥ እዚ፡ ነቲ መሰረታዊ መሰል ወዲ-ሰብ ዝግህስን፡ ብ ታሪክ'ውን ዘሕፍርን ተግባር ስለ ዝኾነ፡ ብ ቕጽበት ጠጠው ክብል ናብ ዘተኻእለና ውልቀ-ሰባትን ዝምልከቶም ትካላትን ክትበጽሕ ተጊህና ሼር ንበላ።
