Antigua Street changes including cycle ways

Bike parking, as with many things COVID has slowed an the slow pace of progress (I use the word with some scepticism).  There is now talk of developing some or all of the space we had hope to have as bike and scooter parking to office space.  Therefore we will be competing with other interests for this space.  Being an optimist I would argue parking space will be far cheaper to build than any office space so bring it on.  After almost 2 years of bashing my head against the wall would you recommend continued optimism as a sensible strategy?
