This Thursday, August 19th, would have been my daughter Alison's 30th birthday.
We have been fighting for over 6 months now to get Gray Television to give me co-copyright of the video of Alison’s murder. A few weeks ago, we took our message – backed by 115,000 of you – directly to the corporate headquarters for Gray Television in Atlanta.
A rolling billboard drove around Atlanta, and the streets around Gray TV’s headquarters, telling my family’s story and calling on Gray Television to do the right thing. Gray TV didn’t like it – they actually called the police. But that didn’t stop our message. We even made a short video that I’d love for you to watch and share.
It tells the story of our campaign, the work that’s gone into building support, and covers what it was like to bring our message directly to Gray TV’s headquarters. None of this would have been possible without your support. And we promise we’re going to keep going until Gray TV does the right thing – the decent thing – and gives us co-copyright of the video so that we can prevent the footage of my daughter’s murder from being circulated on platforms around the Internet.
Thank you again for taking action.
