Renew 'Intelligence' for a second season.

Renew 'Intelligence' for a second season.
The Issue
The television show Intelligence should be renewed for a second season. The show was cancelled last year due to its low viewing figures, however many blame this one the shows airing timeslot. After moving from its original Tuesday timeslot to a Monday the show lost 62% of its viewers. This loss may be due to a viewer unawarenesdge of time change, or to an inappropriate timeslot for a newly starting Action, Sci-Fi show.
It is argued by many that the viewer demographic of its Monday timeslot was inappropriate for Intelligence. The four shows that span the 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. line-up are “2 Broke Girls,” “Friends with Better Lives,” “Mike & Molly,” and “Two and a Half Men.” These comedy shows are unlikely to attract viewers of the same genre as Intelligence. Furthermore the show was faced with competition from other networks with highly viewed and established shows ABC’s “Castle” and NBC’s “The Blacklist,”. These shows have a similar audience base and Intelligence being a new show was bound to emerge worst off. Despite this Intelligence managed to diminish The Blacklist a bit in the ratings, demonstrating the competitive overlap. As said on Intelligence " We are defined by the decisions we make". This decision unfortunatly defined the show as unsuccessful. Let's change that on change.org.
The show’s fan base was growing steadily all season long. Ironically, on the show’s Facebook page, they posted that Marg Helgenberger as Lillian Strand “made the Top 10 “Moments” on CBS this season. This clearly demonstrates that Intelligence’s popularity was not inferior. With reducing numbers of people watching live Television, it is also important to consider how accurate viewer ratings are of a shows success, with many people recording shows or watching online. This is particularly relevant with the shows undesirable airtime. The cancellation of the short season was made before it aired to other audiences such as the UK and it is felt by many that with so short duration the show was never given a chance to excel.
If the show was re-advertised, and re-aired on an appropriate consistent airtime lot , it is clear that the sows ratings would be much larger. Additionally creating a second season of the show , with its already dedicated highly acclaimed actors and team, would allow the show another chance of proving it’s worth. The show had huge potential with an original plot line and outstanding graphic possibility and use, which helped to escalate th BBC’s hit show Sherlock. There are a large number of people who desperately desire the return and continuation of the show. Let’s hope CBS can join us by showing a little more’ Intelligence’.
