I never thought I would hear myself say this, but the time has come to boycott everything to do with Star Trek until CBS and Paramount Pictures retract their new guidelines for fan-made films.

While they were sitting around, letting the genre die, fans all over the world were spending their hard earned cash on amateur made films to keep the genre going strong. From this, semi-professional not-for-profit production studios started making even more impressive films, such as Axanar, Of Gods and Men and Renegades. THEY are the reason Star Trek is still alive.

In the words of JJ Abrams, who directed the new Star Trek theatre reboots when he was told the Axanar movie was being sued by CBS.
"[Lin and I] started talking about it and realized this was not an appropriate way to deal with the fans," Abrams told the crowd. “The fans should be celebrating this thing. Fans of ‘Star Trek’ are part of this world. So [Lin] went to the studio and pushed them to stop this lawsuit and now, within the next few weeks, it will be announced this is going away, and that fans would be able to continue working on their project.”

Your poor excuse for a modern reboot didn't fool any of us. The new theatre Star Trek films were terrible action flicks with no depth or story worth talking about. Filled with "explosions, lens flare and a spock with the emotions of a 13 year old girl." Bring back the REAL Star Trek, or don't bring it back at all.
