I am so grateful for the opportunity to recently meet with our very own New York State Senator Pam Helming. Discussing the details of how we can continue educating our communities about Casey's Law and hopefully have it available in New York State to be used as an intervention tool in helping families and friends of loved ones struggling with addiction and their families who continue to reach out for help, when no other options are available. The chances of criminal charges develop for individuals and create additional barriers to gain control in managing treatment and many fall through the cracks in the system.
