Carnation Equal Mail Access

Carnation Equal Mail Access
The Issue
We, the citizens of Carnation, WA, call upon our local government and postal authorities to revisit the current policy disallowing residential mailboxes and home package delivery. This policy puts an unwanted burden on community members, forcing us to rely on PO Boxes, which are not only inconvenient, but also introduce unnecessary expenses. The policy renders mail and package delivery unequal, negatively affecting those who have difficulties accessing PO Boxes. By permitting residential mailboxes and home package delivery within city limits, we can greatly enhance accessibility and improve the life quality of all our residents. USPS states that 6.9 billion packages were delivered in the past year. If we extrapolate this, each resident may require numerous trips to their PO Box to collect their packages, signifying a clear need for home delivery. Let's join forces and push for a policy change benefiting each and every resident in our beautiful city. Kindly sign this petition and support this much-needed change.
