Petition updateStop selling unsafe, recalled cars to consumers. We're suing the Feds to stop false advertising about cars with killer safety defects

THANK YOU!! to everyone who took the time to help stop the Federal Trade Commission from allowing reckless car dealers like CarMax to engage in false advertising -- bragging about their so-called "certified" cars. When in reality, lots of their "certified" cars are basically ticking time bombs on wheels. They haven't bothered to get repairs for safety defects like faulty brakes, loss of steering, catching on fire, sticking accelerator pedals, seat belts that don't work in a crash, wheels that fall off, hoods that fly up in traffic, and air bags that explode and propel metal shrapnel into people's faces and necks.
Your comments are sending a clear message: "Safe" means "safe." Period. Here's where your comments are now posted: https://www.ftc.gov/policy/public-comments/initiative-684
We're thrilled that so many of you spoke up, in favor of protecting used car buyers and their families from killer cars. Almost 400 people filed comments, which is awesome! (#36 is actually 112 comments lumped together).
Now, we're taking the next step. Today, we filed a lawsuit against the Federal Trade Commission, to get them to stop this craziness. Here's the first news report. Stay tuned, and again -- many thanks!
