Now the FTC has started cracking down on car dealers who sell so-called "certified" used cars without repairing the hazardous safety recall defects first. Will CarMax be next? This is how they operate. Advertising their cars must pass a "rigorous 125+ point inspection," then selling cars with lethal safety defects that have been killing and maiming people. Many state laws and also federal statutes prohibit unfair and deceptive acts and practices -- and those laws apply to car dealers. Especially when CarMax advertises that all their cars must pass a "rigorous 125+ point inspection," to qualify to be sold as "CarMax Quality Certified," it should be safe. Period. NO excuses.
