January 24, 2017 We are very proud to announce that Mr. Albert Pelham, President of the Montclair N.A.A.C.P. Chapter has publicly supported to keep Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church as it always was for the past 109 years, as “Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church”. Parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel have marched proudly; signifying our support at last year’s 2016 Montclair African-American Heritage Foundation "maahf" right behind the Montclair Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. Together we in the 4th Ward of Montclair stands united, through the Montclair Township Unanimous Resolution and the Montclair Historical Society resolution.
