Wednesday, September 14th SaveOLMC New Meeting Location

New Location for our SaveOLMC Meeting- Agenda will follow The Committee to save Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in this difficult time continues to serve our community in an outreach of our Christian Faith. In looking at the fact that the Pathmark in the 4th Ward of Montclair has been shut down. We realized that a lot of the low income and disabled Senior Citizens at First Montclair House at 56 Walnut St. Montclair, have nowhere to shop. So Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church donated hundreds of dollars of food. The food was collected during a recent fund raiser to benefit the needy in Montclair. We came to realize that many of the residents there are parishioners of Mt. Carmel and cannot get out. While Speaking to these seniors at the First Montclair House. They were upset to hear that Father Joe Scarangella (by orders of the Archdiocese) has denied us our right as parishioners to assemble in our own Church. The Merger has not officially gone through; we are still our own parish. They were so upset that we were denied, they sponsored a meeting at the First Montclair House. So to all the parishioners of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, we will have a meeting on Wednesday September 14th 2016, 6:30pm at The First Montclair House, 56 Walnut St. Montclair Sponsored by Seniors at the First Montclair house.
